Everything you'd need to write about Servi, in a form you can paste.
Boilerplate
Servi is an iPhone and iPad app for households where more than one person's needs shape dinner. It turns a link, a photograph of a cookbook page, or a handwritten card into a structured recipe; plans breakfast, lunch and dinner across a rolling week; and builds a single aisle-grouped shopping list, sized to who's eating, from the meals you choose. When the household is out of ideas, it can invent a complete new recipe tuned to what they actually cook — marked in the app as AI-made. Tonight's dinner, the week ahead and the shopping list are also Home Screen widgets, two of them with Lock Screen faces; recipes and the coming fortnight's meals are searchable from Spotlight, indexed on the device; and Siri can say what's for dinner, read and add to the shopping list, start a cook timer, open or plan a recipe by its name, and talk the cook through a recipe step by step, with controls for Control Center, the Lock Screen and the Action button.
It records each household member's allergies, won't-eats and dislikes, and flags recipes against the whole household. Allergy information is worked out automatically, so the app asks people to check the actual ingredients themselves.
With Servi Plus, family members rate meals through a private web link that needs no account, no password and no install, and works on any phone including Android — only the person planning the meals uses the app, and there is no account to make, even for them. Recipes, plans and the household's allergies are held in that person's own private iCloud, syncing between their Apple devices with Servi Plus and reaching no server of the developer's; before a question goes to the AI, every family member's name is replaced with a placeholder. Ratings come back to the recipe itself, where the cook sees who liked what — kept separate from the cook's own favourites.
Allergy information here is worked out automatically, and we've built it to be as accurate as we can. Even so, mistakes are possible — including missing something — so always check the actual ingredients yourself.
Your library stays on your device — with Servi Plus it also lives in your own private iCloud and syncs between your iPhone and iPad, never touches our servers, and you can export everything any time.
